Day 1: Arrival Jomo Kenyatta Airport – Nairobi Hotel

Pick up from the airport upon arrival by our driver-guide and transfer you to your booked hotel in Nairobi for overnight stay.

Day 2: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve

Pick up from your hotel at 0730 hrs and depart Masai Mara with a brief stopover at the Great Rift Valley as you enjoy the scenic view. Proceed with your drive to the Mara Reserve arriving in good time for lunch and thereafter late afternoon game drive.

Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve

We spend this day with morning and afternoon game drives in Masai Mara with the assistance of our experienced professional tour guide in search of the big 5 and wildebeest migration with the dramatic crossing of the Mara River and the predators preying on the migrants. This drama can be best viewed from early July to August. Each year Masai Mara plays host to the world greatest natural spectacle, the Great Wildebeest Migration from Serengeti National Park. From July to October, the promise of rain and fresh life giving grass in the north brings more than 1.3 million wildebeest together into a single massive herd. They pour across the border into the Mara, making a spectacular entrance in a surging column of life that stretches from horizon to horizon. At the Mara River they mass together on the banks before finally plunging forward through the raging waters, creating a frenzy as they fight against swift currents and waiting crocodiles. Day 4: Masai Mara National Reserve – Lake Nakuru National Park

Early morning game drive as we exit the Masai Mara National Park and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park where we will arrive in good time for lunch and later afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at a Hotel. Lake Nakuru is anchored on its flamingoes and over 400 species of birds are found here. During the peak season millions of flamingoes congregate on the lake plus half a million pelicans. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink due to the swathes of pinky like ribbon adorning the lake fringes. Lake Nakuru National Park is an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lion, waterbuck, buffalo and baboon reside here. Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park – Amboseli National Park

Depart early in the morning after breakfast with packed lunches and arrive Amboseli National Park. We proceed for late afternoon game drive. Amboseli National Park is situated close to Kenya and Tanzania border at the foot of Africa highest mountain 5895m, Mt Kilimanjaro whose snow-capped summit presents a splendid view during clear days. The Park offers some of the best opportunities to see African animals because its vegetation is sparse due to the long dry months. It is renowned for its large herds of free-ranging African elephants. There are over 900 African elephants in Amboseli as well as huge herds of wildebeests and many other animals including giraffe, African lion, monkey, zebra, hyena and antelope. Day 6: Amboseli National Park

This day is set aside exploring Amboseli National Park with early morning game drive where the light is perfect at Mount Kilimanjaro background which offers good photographic scenery coupled with the concentration of wildlife on the ground. We return to the camp for breakfast. We will be free the rest of the morning may be enjoying a dip in the pool or game viewing from the lodge terrace. We have lunch at the camp and in the afternoon have an option to visit the Masai village (Optional extra). We later explore an evening major game drive. We return to the same camp in Amboseli, for a night under starry skies. Amboseli National Park is at the foot of Africa highest mountain, 5895m Mt Kilimanjaro, this National Park offers some of the best opportunities to see African animals because its vegetation is sparse due to the long dry months. Amboseli National Park is home to wild animals, which includes the African elephant, buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, hyena, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest among other African animals. There are also host of Kenya birds, both large and small, to see if you keep your eyes open and stop at every sighting. Dinner and overnight stay at a Tented Campsite.

Day 7: Amboseli National Park – Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast depart Amboseli National Park viewing game en-route as you exit the park with the last picturesque of Amboseli. We drive into Tanzania via the Namanga border with lunch en route in Arusha arriving Lake Manyara National Park for late afternoon game drive. Lake Manyara National Park takes pride in diversified habitat. It is mirrored by its varied fauna, with some of the more common and visible large mammal species being the buffalo, elephant, giraffe, zebra, lion and wildebeest. Prominently renowned for its tree-climbing lion, Lake Manyara is also home to troops of baboon and blue monkey. The park is rich with fantastic bird life. More than 400 species of birds can be seen here. Dinner and Overnight at a Tented Campsite.

Day 8: Lake Manyara National Park – Serengeti National Park

Early morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park and proceed to Serengeti National Park with packed lunch via Ngorongoro Crater Rim viewing game en-route. Dinner and Overnight at a Tented Campsite.

Day 9: Serengeti National Park

Full day is spent in Serengeti National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. Serengeti National Park is Tanzania largest and best-known national park with a massive concentration of migratory animals who move around the park according to the availability of food. Serengeti National Park is Tanzania oldest and most popular National Park, also a world heritage and one of the best wildlife sanctuary site and recently proclaimed a 7th world wide wonder. Serengeti is famous for its annual migration. This offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa. The Park is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa due to the abundance of prey species. The park also supports many further species, including cheetah, Thomson and grant gazelle, topi, eland, water buck, hyena, baboon, impala, African wild dog and giraffe. Over 500 bird species are recorded here. Dinner and overnight at a Tented Campsite.

Day 10: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater

Early morning game drive in Serengeti National Park later on return back to the campsite for breakfast. Check out of the camp and drive with packed lunch game viewing en route to Ngorongoro Crater Rim. OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: You can visit Olduvai Gorge at an extra fee payable direct to the museum. Ngorongoro Crater is the world biggest whole volcanic caldera at 8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena. It is frequently described as one of the wonders of the world, not only because of its geological magnificence, but also because it serves as an extraordinary natural sanctuary for some of Africa largest population of large mammals. The annual wildebeest and zebras migration passes through the Ngorongoro conservation, moving south into the area in December and moving north in June. This movement changes seasonally with the rains, but the migration will traverse almost the entire plains in search of food. This has a healthy resident population of most species of wildlife, in particular the Ndutu Lake area to the west has strong cheetah and lion populations. Dinner and Overnight at a Tented Campsite.

Day 11: Ngorongoro Crater – Tarangire National Park

Early morning breakfast then descend to the Crater Floor with picnic lunch for game drives. Explore the crater and have lunch at the picnic site. Thereafter we continue with game viewing while ascending the Crater and drive to Tarangire National Park Tented Campsite. Tarangire National Park is a beautiful and special park in Northern Tanzania. It is famous for its high density of elephants exceeding Lake Manyara and Serengeti. The park displays a diverse number of wildlife namely Python, lion and leopard climb tree lounging in the branches, African buffalo, lesser and great kudu, cheetah, fringe-eared Oryx, Maasai giraffe, spotted hyena, common zebra, white-bearded wildebeest, warthog, eland, olive baboon, bat-eared fox, impala, common waterbuck, bushbuck, coke hartebeest, gerenuk, and bohor reedbuck. Over 550 bird species have been recorded here making a sure pleasure for any bird lover. Baobab trees are most common here. Dinner and Overnight at a Tented Campsite.

Day 12: Tarangire National Park – Arusha

Early morning breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park for morning game drive. Thereafter we have lunch and leave the Park viewing our last game while we drive back to Arusha arriving in the evening. You will be dropped either at your hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your home bound flight depending on the arrangements where the safari ends.
